
SAN FRANCISCO — Judge Roger C. Chan vividly remembers a court appearance he once made as an attorney, when a judge allowed him a lengthy amount of time to argue his case. Although the ruling didn’t go his way, the combination of Chan’s strong advocacy, and the judge’s fairness in allowing him time to speak, was appreciated by Chan’s client.
