LOS ANGELES -- Judge Sanjay Kumar takes the bench only twice a month, but that doesn't mean he's short on cases.
The rest of the time, the judge is reading transcript after transcript, brief after brief about why the outcome of a case should be reversed. For about a decade, Kumar has been a part of Los Angeles County Superior Court's three-judge appellate division panel at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse.
