A mother, on the run for eight months with her young daughter, eventually made her way from Nashville to Judge Jody Burgess’ Shasta County courtroom in Redding.
She evaded police, was in and out of abuse shelters, and when she was finally tracked down, alleged her child had been sexually abused back home by her father’s twin brother, Burgess said.
