COMPTON — Sitting on the bench at Compton Courthouse still feels surreal at times for Judge Danette J. Gomez, who grew up 6 miles away in a blue-collar household and later practiced in the court for seven years as a prosecutor.
“I prosecuted a lot of cases in front of a lot of judges in this building that I now work alongside with,” she said.
