LOS ANGELES — Judge Audra Mori’s parents were interned during World War II, but it took her a little while to figure out what they went through.
“Japanese Americans don’t really talk about it that much,” Mori said.
Growing up, she stitched anecdotes together, stories with settings that weren’t in line with life in Southern California, where her parents were raised.
