FRESNO — One day while her family picked tomatoes in the fields of Merced County, 6-year-old Ana de Alba went to fetch them something to drink only to have her cup filled with dirty water.
“It wasn’t even see-through,” she said.
De Alba complained to one of the supervisors, who picked her up and sat her down her by a 5-gallon jug on a flatbed truck.
