LOMPOC — Two years ago, word spread that another criminal prosecutor with no family law experience would be named to hear the Santa Barbara County’s family law docket.
It wasn’t that the family law bar disliked former prosecutors. They were just concerned they might not understand the law and certified practitioners who applied for the commissioner’s job were being overlooked.
