Appointed to the San Diego County Superior Court by Gov. Jerry Brown in June 2018. Served as superior court commissioner since 2009 and a special assistant U.S. attorney for the Southern District from 2001 to 2008. Wood also worked in the San Diego County district attorney's office before becoming a federal prosecutor.
